The Third International Workshop of the International Cleft Lip and Palate Foundation (ICPF) with theme title

May Every Child Sing and Smile

is organized into three main topics: (1) State-of-the-Art Prevention of Cleft Lip and Palate, (2) Cutting Edge Technological, Surgical-Orthodontic Advances in Cleft Lip and Palate Treatment, and (3) Caring for Children with a Cleft Around the World: Professional Organizations and NGOs

Abstract Categories:
· Etiology (including genetics)
· Epidemiology
· Surgery
· Orthodontics
· Prevention Research
· Clinical Research
· Speech
· Helping with cleft care in developing regions
· Other (specify)

Presentation Format:
1. Oral presentation – 10 minutes
2. Case or idea presentation – 5 minutes
3. Poster presentation

The Scientific Committee will review abstracts suitable for presentation the Workshop, based on scientific validity and subject matter. Given the limited number of oral presentation places available, the Committee may determine that some abstracts are better suited to poster rather than oral presentation.
Authors will be advised in writing of acceptance or non-acceptance of abstracts in February 2011. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Workshop program handbook.
All presenting authors must register and pay for their attendance at the Congress. Early submission is encouraged.
